This comic isn’t trying to say that one copied off the other, it’s only one of the many examples out there that states this fact- there is no originality left in the 21st century. Stories have been made up since the beginning of time so it’s only natural that in this day and age pretty much everything has been done even to the point where it comes out like this. All that can be done nowadays is alter forgotten stories in some way, make them “modern” or what have you, to make it seem original whether one intends to or not.
As far as Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles goes, I’ve noticed more than 10 similarities in the 2 stories and I haven’t even finished it yet. I’m mainly basing this on the manga that I am on book 14 with (so no spoilers for after that point for now please) though I do occasionally watch episodes of the anime to see the differences between them. There are clips I’ve seen and things in the book that hint towards even more possible matches between the twin series in the future. So needless to say, with the other similarities I’ve noticed that didn’t make it into this already long comic and with the ones I’m bound to find in the future, there will most likely be a sequel to this much later on. Because God knows these series are clones of each other.
Edit: This whole comic was partly to test my own patience and will. I did a pair of panels every day and the 4th set (the one where thier homes are attacked) took me literally ALL day to do, as soon as I got up to when I went to bed (aside from a hour and 1/2 I took out for eating and what not). It was a test of endurance and the drawing on paper alone took me a while too considering I went through HELL with those references! For over a week I went to bed AFTER 3:00am because I was working on this @_@. But I'm happy people are
ing this like crazy, it's already gotten as many favs in less than a week than my last comic got in exactly 2 months (and that one got more than some of my other pieces took almost a year to get). It makes all that hard work worth it. Thanks
