I played Tales Of Symphonia first then I watched Full Metal Alchemist. When I did I thought the concept of the philosophers stone seemed familiar though I couldn’t tell how. Then I recently started playing TOS again and when it came to the part where Lloyd and his group were talking over the camp fire after they found out how Exsperes where made that’s when it dawned on me. Both Lloyd and the Elrick brothers had their mothers turned into monsters too. TOS may not be the most original videogame I’ve played (for many more reasons other than just FMA similarities) but I still love it.
