Videogames Are NOT Evil stamp by Hentai-Sweetie Videogames Are NOT Evil stamp by Hentai-Sweetie
Kids being murderously violent have been going on LONG before videogames were even invented. Yet certain dumbasses want to pin the blame on something the angst ridden teen just-so-happened to be doing at the time like playing some videogame which was most likely highly irrelevant to their violent act. Like at work a few weeks ago I heard an older co-worker talking with the manager about how she heard on the news that some 8 yr old boy hung himself over being bullied. The co-worker said she wondered how a kid could get the idea to hang himself. The manager said “It was probably those video games. They’re evil”. That comment pissed me off, all I said in response though was “No they’re not”. But the kid was getting bullied and thus he killed himself because of those evil little bastards at school and even by 8 yrs old he is still bound to know at least a few ways to kill himself. It doesn’t have to have any thing to do with video games!! And if the lazy ass school staff got off their asses and tried to do something about the bulling and/or help the victim it wouldn’t be that much of an issue. I was playing very gory and violent videogames like Mortal Kombat 2 ever since I was very little (around 7 or so). I’ve even had to deal with bullies in Middle School and yet I’m very non-violent and always avoided getting into fights at all costs and I even watched rated-R movies as a child too with guns and people getting murdered left ‘n’ right. The fact is- if the parents raised their kids so they wouldn’t be heartless assholes who live to make others miserable and windup getting shot for it, or just make sure their teenage son/daughter can’t find their parents “self protection” weapons at home it wouldn’t matter what the kids hobbies are! So those parents really need to find a new scapegoat to try and cover up their shitastic parenting.
:pacman: Video Games 4 Evaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! :pc: :brazensix::pokeball:
EDIT: Oh and P.S.- Please tell me if you use this. Thanx <3! Template time-> [link] !

Huh, if it was left to my parents, I dread to think where I'd be now. My brother and video games taught me many good morals. :) Schools and parents have a lot to answer for....

I see a lot of people blame games for being so popular and use it as a scapegoat to get away with their bad parenting. Now I've had a bad family before, and when I was pretty much a baby, my own father had died, and when I started to play games, they didn't have any effect to what happened to me in my life, but I was knowledgeful and smart at that time, but my reputation was later injured by both family and the state I live in.

A lot of people have chosen to take matters in their own hands, but what I will say is that I made it through all that misery and was lucky enough to live through it. I would agree that people with no moral sense or no rules make kids hostile. I try not to do such, but there are many who want to be that way.

I've been through many groups of people, and even one of my family members was gang affilated once before. I had to change groups of people over time, and yet I still run into those conflicts. I used to look to people in my state who were better, then I went to making people out of state, and that didn't work for long.

Sooner or later, I dramatically changed my life when I met a bigger bilingual group of people outside of my country's bounds, and when I did, I ended up changing my life much more than I would ever expect in my entire life.

I can't say why people choose not to do anything about what others do, but in my life, I had a lot of bad experiences. Parents should step up their ways and have rules and better morals and not blame popular things like video games for problems in life.

I agree with you overall.

Amen to that!!

Video Games is one of my favourite hobbies, and it pisses me off that soccer mums want to fucking ban them just because some looney wasn't raised right by his parents and decided to kill heaps of people.

Video games are NOT to blame for abusive looney gunmen!
Bad parenting is!!

Not all computer games are evil. I usually don't play games that incorporate violence and use it as one of the main aspects of the game. I don't play GTA, Call of Duty etc, but I play sims 3, racing games, simulators and strategy. Also I know how to code in C#, I used to use GameMaker 7.0 and 8.0, now I am learning Unity3D. My little brother enjoys watching me playing some games, but I'd rather play with him instead of playing them alone and force little brother to just watch. Anyways I don't think that a good game is evil, violent game. The game's quality is measured in the graphic and sound quality and gameplay interest, not amount of violence.

The situation with video game violence is that violent games make more profit - as well as Hollywood movies featuring Brad Pitt, Jackie Chan etc due to their royalties. Violent game developers utilize the most advanced technology, software and therefore have extreme system requirements. Technologies such as NVidia PhysX is used in the least violent games as well (such as my favourite but not working on my laptop Astragon's Bus-Tram-Cable Car Simulator), but most violent games have also console versions because of more profit and console SDKs being expensive.
A non-violent game can also make profit that is as big as violent one's one. It just needs to be very popular and well advertised (and also piracy-protected - however I totally support piracy!!!). However, many violent games make that much profit due to gamer audience tending to think in a way "less violence=>more boredom, pansiness=>bad, stupid game".

Video games don't, I agree with that and sometimes it has to do with the parents but sometimes it has nothing to do with the parents. I have a brother who causes a lot of stress to all of us and makes awful threats and has beat us up and we have amazing parents and me and my other brother aren't at all like he is so I think it really depends on the situation

Nintendo 2DS and 3DS are very awesome for a child I suppose, but:
1)Amount of kid-hostile games doesn't measure its inappropriateness (it's just a system anyways, you can create your own game just learn programming order an SDK and design it, then code it)
2)Same game may have different ratings in different countries, also every game can be modded even in the way the total game conception changes.

actually for a 7 year old a wii u is not the best for kids as most games are rated E10+, T and M
